wh023 audio webbed_hand netlabels WH Records has given spot #23 to this extraordinary psychedelic power noise ensemble. Intense auditory massage reaches into your brain to tweak your evolution. EXOXEN has spent at least 15 years as a tape project among a small group of friends, and is making its first international debut here. A large number of instruments and an armada of analogue and digital effects were deployed in this compelling textural assault. What more can I say? Listening is believing. But if pressed for a comparison, I'd say place them on a spectrum somewhere between Helios Creed and Throbbing Gristle. Get this album and spend some time with it. Exoxen is the most easily listenable recording I have heard from them. While still being challenging it does give the listener a lot to work with.
